1991 Givens F-5 Model Mandolin Offered at $9,750.00
This is a rarely played example of a Bob Givens F-5 from 1991. This mandolin was made 2 years before Bob Givens passed away, so one of his last. It has been well-cared for by the current owner since he purchased it new from Givens. The mandolin has been refretted with EVO Gold fretwire and the "florida" fretboard extension has been scooped for more modern playability. Otherwise the mandolin is in excellent original condition with its original shaped hard case, bridge, and Givens engraved tailpiece.
This mandolin features a radiused fretboard with Schaller tuners. At 30 years of age, this mandolin has all the volume and tone that is found in all of Bob Givens' mandolins. Givens F-5 models are rare and sought after.
It is equipped with an internal McIntyre "Feather" passive transducer pickup with an end pin jack. The pickup is lightweight and virtually unnoticeable but allows for amplification.
